两则Ning的应用案例
今天(08年7月18日）从OUseful上看到两个Ning的应用案例：

University Learning = OCW + OER = FREE!
最近从diigo中发现了很多有用的资源。今天从Cool Tools & Ed Tech组中发现了马来西亚Ali Alsagoff先生的博客文章University Learning = OCW + OER = FREE! ，他编辑组织了与他的大学相关的大量的“开放课件”OpenCourseWare (OCW)和“开放教育资源”Open Educational Resources (OER)链接。该文章会随着他的工作的进展而更新，很值得关注！

解决金山词霸2005与IE冲突问题
金山词霸2005专业版安装后，又遇到了与IE的冲突问题，被告知：“……该内存不能为‘written’”。从网上搜索到一些解决办法，尝试后成功解决问题，我采用的方法如下：
1.在金山词霸的安装目录下找到NETWORK.INI文件，将文件改为：
[update]
url=
即将原网址去掉或更改成别的网址，以中断词霸序列号后台校验功能。
2.从CSDN上（需要注册，只有会员才有资格下载文件）下载文件xdictgrb.dll替换金山词霸安装目录下的同名文件。
我使用了上述两种方法，第一种未解决问题，第二种成功了。据解释，这说明我的系统一定是WINXPSP2的系统，这是由于金山词霸和WINXP的SP2有冲突造成的，更换这个动态链接库就好了。
一切OK！

解决无法打开internet选项及无法下载软件问题
自从用上东芝M802笔记本后，问题不断。先是MSN无法运行，接着其他一些程序也无法运行了，没有办法，一键恢复了vista系统，暂时能用MSN了，但分区剩一个了。王勇帮忙分出了D盘（虽然仅有40G），而且很快问题又重现了，MSN又无法用了。咨询李柯，从“计算机/管理/服务”里停用了一些服务，但问题仍未解决。接着安装安全卫士360、小红伞，然后查找系统漏洞、杀毒等等，结果同样。又一次一件恢复、分区，接着又停用了若干服务。终于MSN能用了。
今天当希望下载一软件时，新问题出现了：软件无法下载，而且internet选项无法打开。郁闷！结果一天都耗在了解决这两个问题上。
1.解决internet选项打不开的问题
网上介绍了很多种方法，包括注册表修改、组策略，用记事本写代码等，注册表中没有找到相应的项，组策略根本无法进入，记事本写的代码文件无法保存……。忙了一天几乎都无法解决，反反复复在控制面板中也往返了多次，始终未找到办法。最后终于从“网络和internet”发现了“internet选项。
2.解决vista下，无法下载软件问题
打开“Interner选项”后，点击“安全”选项卡，将“本地连接”和“Internet连接”下的“启用保护模式”前的选项去掉。
最后，如果再在下载时出现关闭情况的话，再试下点击“高级”选项卡，重置IE的设置。
这样，下载问题就解决了。

恢复360doc的弹出窗口
360doc的弹出窗口无论是修改“工具”中的禁用“弹出窗口阻止程序”，还是在“Internet选项/隐私”中填入360doc网址，使其成为总是被允许访问的站点，或单击工具条中“拦截”按钮等，都无法使360doc弹出窗口现身。最后从google中的“Toolbar for Internet Explorer”中，发现了解决之道。非常简单，仅需两个步骤，一切问题就迎刃而解：
1.Visit the site and click the Pop-up blocker button. 访问你要去的网站（当然是需要弹出窗口的网站），点击google的“弹出拦截按钮”。
The button text changes to read Popups okay, indicating that the Pop-up blocker has been disabled on that site.

为vista系统创建新分区
今天因为许多程序无法使用，又一次将东芝笔记本的vista系统恢复到了出厂状态，结果分区没有了，仅剩下一个C盘。从网上搜来一篇文章——详解预装Vista分区，照猫画虎，居然分区成功！该方法简单易学，现将该文部分文字转贴如下，以惠他人并作为备忘，下次使用。
【五】创建新分区
１、鼠标右键点击前面操作得到的未分配空间，在弹出菜单中左键单击『新建简单卷』。
2、出现新建简单卷向导界面后，点击『下一步』。
3、根据需要输入想要创建分区的大小，点击『下一步』。
4、然后继续点击『下一步』。
5、根据需要设置卷标并选中『执行快速格式化』，再点击『下一步』。
6、点击『完成』。
7、待新建分区的状态变为『状态良好』之后，『刷新』一下以防止后面出现一些奇怪的问题。
★切记每创建一个新分区之后，都要在『操作』菜单中进行一次『刷新』的操作。
8、重复前面的操作，根据需要继续创建分区。
9、全部完成后关闭计算机管理的窗口即可。

如何查看自己被封的blogspot、wordpress博客
有很长一段时间不能访问自己的blogspot和wordpress的博客了。但有意思的是，这两个个人博客虽不能访问，但是却可以到达注册的主页，发布新帖（当然，结果是看不到的）。因此，今天尝试使用anonymouse,结果大获成功，终于看到了自己的这两个博客的真面目。但是，新问题是无法登陆，更别提发帖了。于是灵光一闪，利用博客还能发新贴的机会，再利用anonymouse，查看结果，哇！！！一切OK！
另外，anonymouse还可以装载工具条，这样用起来更方便。

“Wiki女王”Meredith Farkas公布图林博客2007调查结果

曾经因制作美国图书馆学会2005芝加哥年会Wiki、2006新奥尔良年会Wiki、因特网图书馆员2007年会议Wiki等而被称人戏称“Wiki女王”的Meredith Farkas,在2005年对图林博客进行调查之后, 2007年8月再一次对全球图林博客进行了调查,共有839 人参加了调查。2007 年8 月底,MeredithFarkas开始陆续在其博客上公布了调查结果,其中发现事实性数据很值得关注:
(1) 839人参加了调查,而2005年只有165人。在接受调查的人群中, 2005 - 2007年间有460人开始写博客,只有242个被调查者拥有现有博客长达两年之久;
(2) 2005年时,只有19%的博客来自于公共图书馆, 44%的博客来自于高校图书馆。2007年,这种差别正在缩小,在所有的博客中, 33. 6%的人在高校图书馆工作, 29. 3%的人在公共图书馆工作;
(3) 23. 5%的博客是匿名写的,应该有很多人打算匿名写博,但是由于问卷中没有设置这样的选项而无法准确获知。
女博客比男博客更喜欢匿名写博。37. 1%的匿名博客来自于公共图书馆,只有7%的匿名博客来自于学校图书馆。总体来说,匿名博客更多的是对工作表示不是很满意,只有27. 1%的人明确表示对工作比较满意;
(4)人们在选择博客软件时,似乎很容易从众。2005年,44. 5%的博客作者使用Blogger软件, 20. 7%的人使用Word2p ress, 11. 6%的人使用Movable Type。2007年, 46. 2%的图书馆员使用Blogger, 33. 3%使用Wordp ress,只有4. 1%的人使用L iveJournal,其他所有的软件都没有超过3%的市场份额。匿名的博客似乎更喜欢使用Blogger (59% ) ,女性也似乎更愿意使用Blogger,男性似乎更喜欢使用Wordp ress (45. 5% ) 。
(5)在考察写博是否对专业论文发表起到很好的培训作用时, 54%的博客已经发表了专业论文, 73%坚持写博2年以上的博客都发表过专业论文;
(6)从职业的满意度来讲,学校图书馆图书馆员、法律图书馆图书馆员或者为图书馆系统和联盟工作的都会比较满意,因为这3类图书馆员在职业满意度中获得的分数最高。社团(Corporate)图书馆和公共图书馆图书馆员的职业满意度最低。
最低满意度的图书馆职位(基于回答问卷的人)是获取服务(Access Services)、流通、编目、馆藏发展、网络发展(Web Devel2opment)和指导/正在涌现类技术岗位。有趣的是,不管是那些
对工作比较满意的人,还是那些对工作不是很满意的博客,对于技术压力和变化的应对似乎没有什么区别。比较幸运的是,76%的调查对象对于工作即使不特别满意,也还比较满意。
(7)女博客的数量比男博客增长更快。2005年,女博客的数量占到了图林博客总数的57% , 而男博客只占到了43%。现在,有66%的图林博客是女性,只有34%是男性。当然,这是由于在图书馆的性别比例中占女性到了80%所致,并且现在这种趋势还将继续增长。
(8) 37%的图林博客在2005年时超过了40岁。现在图林圈的年龄更加多样化,这是一件好事情。

(7)女博客的数量比男博客增长更快。2005年,女博客的数量占到了图林博客总数的57% , 而男博客只占到了43%。现在,有66%的图林博客是女性,只有34%是男性。当然,这是由于在图书馆的性别比例中占女性到了80%所致,并且现在这种趋势还将继续增长。
(8) 37%的图林博客在2005年时超过了40岁。现在图林圈的年龄更加多样化,这是一件好事情。

我国的中小学教师博客的群体怎样的一个情形？看来也需要做一番调查！除了一般特征外，最需要了解的包括：博客与其教师专业发展的关系：对其教学反思力的促进、对其信息素养的提高、对其教学技能的增强、对其知识的拓展、对其生活的影响等等方面。

Classroom2.0——教师们的社会网络社区
Classroom2.0是一个社会网络站点，喜欢web2.0和合作技术的教师们都会在这里有惊喜的发现。
我登陆后，很快就有一热心的澳大利亚教师（刚发现她是版主之一）发来了短信，对我的加入表示祝贺。很让人觉得温暖，并有了进一步了解该网站的动力。
它最吸引我的三大特点是：
- 内容版块实用：Classroom2.0网站目标明确，内容版块很清晰，也很有吸引力。它包括：论坛、wiki、会员（截至今日已有7652名会员）、小组、照片、视频等。
- 分类管理：几乎每个版块下的内容都是按分类管理的，更让人为之惊叹的是，除了一般分类外，它居然还按照：工具、学科、领域进行了分类。
- 即时交谈（LIVE Conversations）：在它的wiki中，它发布的calendar中会有“恳谈会”的时间预报，订阅这个日历后，就不会错过感兴趣的会谈了！体贴得真是无微不至啊！

用Web 2.0工具激发学生的创造性（转贴）

利用web2.0工具于在线课程教学中，不但能增强我自己在课程设计方面的创新潜能，而且能帮助激发学生在基于项目的学习中的创造力。作为一位网络高中的教师，我在课程设计上给予学生更多的自主性。我利用博客，发布简短的学习指南来指导学生使用一些web2.0工具，以及允许他们挑选博客上提到的任何一种方法来完成学习项目。这样不仅能帮助学生学习掌握web2.0工具，更重要的是这些工具激发了他们的创造力。
我是如何办到的呢？请接着往下看。
对于标准的字处理软件，比如微软的Word， 给学生提供了一套基本工具，但是对于网络学习来说用处不大。显然，改用博客则能吸引住这些高中学生——因为有机会让自己的声音被更多人听到。允许学生在博 客中完成写作项目，更胜于一些传统方式，学生在博客上能写出他们的想法，让全世界都能听见。这样的结果是学生们的文章将具有更多的思想性和创新性，更能帮 助提升他们的素质。
一直以来微软的PowerPoint都被认为是一个激发创造性的工具，我们可以在学生制作的演示文稿中看到他们的创新。但是，PowerPoint和类似的演示文稿软件创作的作品常只能被教师和班级浏览。如果采用web2.0演示文稿在线应用软件（如：Slideshare和Zoho Show），不但能允许学生在线创建演示文稿，还能让其作品与全世界分享。
上面的图列来自我的学生在Slideshare上关于葡萄牙的幻灯片。利用Slideshare需要学生先在PowerPoint中创建好相关演示文稿，然后上传到Slideshare；
上面这个图例则是来自学生利用Zoho Show 创建她的学习项目《关于自己》。Zoho Show虽不及Slideshare流行，但是它的优点是允许学生通过在线应用服务创建自己的演示文稿项目。因此，对于一些买不起PowerPoint等商业演示文稿制作软件，因而没机会完成这类作业的学生，现在有了一个新的机会。另外学生在这两个网站都能欣赏到其他人精彩的作品，帮助打开他们的想象的大门。
我还发现一些学生热衷于视频项目。现在的学生轻易就能玩转视频相机，一些学生甚至能熟练的使用视频编辑软件，也经常制作一些关于他们周遭环境的视频片段。而使用免费的视频存放服务（如youtube和谷歌视频），任何人都可以上传自己的视频到这些网站；因此允许学生选择创建视频作为项目学习成果并在网络上分享是非常棒的主意。Animoto是一个新的视频制作web服务网站，它允许学生上传图片、选择音乐，然后方便的生成30秒钟的视频。虽然用30秒钟的视频很难评估学生的学习，但是使用这些工具来替代一两段文字写作或演示文稿展示，或许更能激发一些学生对作业的兴趣。
过去的一年，学生之间的协作在网络学习中被证明是很难办的，因为彼此相隔很远且互不熟悉。尽管如此，随着增加wiki（维基）的使用，和在Ning（提供创建个人社会性网络的网站）上创建我们班级的社会性网络，这种情况在逐渐消除。wiki能担当可编辑的资料库，文档处理器，多媒体主机以及具有其它很多功能。学生能通过实时协作，在一个wiki网 页上不断的完善自己的想法，是一个非常棒的方法。因为学生发布自己的想法并能获取来自团队中同伴的回复，可以反反复复的扩展或缩小最初的设想，直到最终完 成。另外，我们的社会性网络给了学生们一个互相认识，熟悉，组建学习团队的地方。在这个班级社会性网络中他们能讨论自己的创意，分享研究成果，进行协作学 习。最关键的是通过社会性网络能让相隔很远的学生彼此结识如同在现实的实体班级中那样自然的交往，正如谚语所说的“同窗结伴好读书”。
显然，在我的课程中使用web2.0工具让我有机会打开创新的大门，并引领学生漫步其中。

一个是expressive, 它既可以在网上阅读你添加的文字资料，也可以下载安装后用它来收听图书、信息、RSS feeds、文章，甚至e-mail等，你会很容易用它来制作电子书，只要有mp3格式的播放器，你就可以边走边收听你的电子书或其它文本文件了。
另一个工具是quotably,这个工具与twitter是配套的，它使你可以跟随别的twitter，与他进行交谈，有些像BBS讨论版，使原本自言自语的twitter具有了沟通的功能。如下图所示：
